„I understand art as a dimension that exists parallel to our world. We try to explore and investigate it. In my opinion, there are only two ways to encounter it: either through the mind, often using conceptual art as a key to change our perception and make it visible, or it seeks us out, that is, it enters us. The german word “Idea“ also means “Einfall” which means something that „falls“ into us. An idea, a thought, or a vision that originates from the universe and enters us. This implies that we are all surrounded by this creative energy, but that it can only become our reality through certain people. In this case, it uses so-called artists as “hosts,” which it needs to transform itself into something recognizable that changes us as viewers and our world.”
“For me as an visual artist, receiving this visions it’s a bit like waking up from a dream and trying to reconstruct the blurred images so they make sense. Dreams, like art, don’t automatically follow the laws of our reality; they transcend them, which is what makes them so fascinating. They inspire us to rethink things and allow us to see the world from a different, magical perspective. They can contain mysticism, love, enchantment, cruelty, and beauty, because they are inherently value-free.”
